Easter weekend

Whew - what a packed weekend it was. We were on the go all day every day but Bug had a great time! We hunted eggs at our church first on Saturday. Lane didn't find the prize egg but had a great time finding LOTS of eggs.

Then a quick trip home to boil a dozen eggs for us to color later in the day. We headed out to Norman Park to hit another egg hunt. We go every year to my sister's church where many gals and guys I grew up with go to church. This is the one time a year Bug gets to play with their kids. Lane did find one of the prize eggs here. He had a great time running and playing!

Then, off to Nanny & PaPa's house to play with Becca & Jonathon. And after a few hours, back to Thomasville for a birthday party. And then back home to color eggs! YIKES - I was so tired when I finally stopped.
The Easter Bunny stopped by and after digging through the loot and reminding Bug of the true meaning we celebrate Easter, we headed off to church and then family lunch here in town. Lane played all afternoon with his cousins Ches & Ty. Those big boys did a great job of wearing down this wild child - that is not an easy task!

The boys played most of the day with water balloons and a really cool water balloon launcher. Most everyone got a little wet along the way but I wouldn't think it would happen any other way, right?

NEWS!!!

Ok, not believing it took me all week to get this posted.....because it surely has been the single topic on my mind ALL WEEK......we are expecting another baby! :0) yea!! We are so excited and even though I feel the "I can't wait" attitude, I also feel the "slow down and enjoy every minute of this" attitude also. This will be the last little Johnson so I intend to savor every moment. Funny thing, again, I knew it right away. Our bodies are amazing. But I have completely different symptoms with this pregnancy than what I did with LaneBug. So Baby Johnson should be here around early-mid December!
Well, off to hunt some eggs......ALL DAY! And then a birthday party tonight for one of Lane's best friends.
Ta-Ta for now :)

T-Ball

Today was Bug's first ever T-ball game. I just can't believe my little boy is now old enough to be playing sports. He came running in my bedroom this morning all dressed in his uniform and honestly, my eyes teared up. This is the picture I snapped - isn't he cute??
So after 3 short practices, the team did really, really good today. Our team won - yea!! Here are a few snapshots.

And yes, those are Lane's Gator football pants he has on..........oh well! The baseball pants we bought were WAY too big anyway so these worked out just fine.

35 is great

yes, I have arrived in the 35s! And so far, it is great. Mind you, I haven't been to work yet - hee hee! Lane had a great birthday yesterday with his friend Jackson. We were sad to find out Jackson's sister (who is more Lane's age) was sick and quarantined inside the house. But Bug jumped right in with the bigger boys and had a ball. Literally - yes, did I mention it was a football/tailgate party? Lane LOVED the fact he could wear his football uniform. And Jackson had his on too!

Aren't they cute?

Check out the cake - I may be using this idea for Bug's party next year. So, movie and dinner last night to celebrate the big 3-5. We saw Mall Cop. It was funny and cute. Monty was kind of ah-not so liking it. I wanted to see New In Town but settled for Mall Cop. I was pleased.

Check out some pictures we took today (GORGEOUS DAY OUTSIDE) over a couple of town's from here at a petting zoo. This fellow had us laughing so hard even though he had some of the worst breath I have smelled in a long time!

I am still laughing at these pictures.
So the weekend was great. Thanks to all my friends who spent time with me, sent cards and typed sweet messages on my FB page. I truly felt very special.

I'll leave you with 2 of my new favorite pictures. Of course, me and my boys! And the other of the water. Being so near to it today seriously gave me boating fever!

looking forward to the weekend

Hi all!

Sorry I have been MIA....I really need to make blogging more of a priority I suppose. I just forget most of the time. So nothing really big going on except Bug has finally defined the phrase "I'll learn to pee pee in the potty later". It seems later came on January 27th. Craziest thing - decided to put back on the big boy underwear and hasn't had an accident yet. He even napped today without them and woke up and told Mrs. Tracey he had to go. I am so impressed. I would have never guessed that he understood it all that completely. He has even put stinky in there.

And other news, it seems there is a possibility of an adult night out Saturday night. And....I guess I should define that as dinner with friends of ours - WITHOUT KIDS. Yep, that will be cool. I really don't know when it was we last did this. We have done Sunday School socials and stuff like that but a night dedicated to us with friends alone - been way too long.

I have been going through some old pictures so I'll post those soon.
Have a good night - don't let the bed bugs bite :)

Weekend Update

Hello boys and girls! How about this cold weather finally getting here? Man....and just after I reogranized my closet so I could have all my clothes in it at one time. Yes, I am fortunate to have the home I live in (not ungrateful AT ALL) but....I must admit.....I do want a walk-in closet again so bad. But for the time being, I have the next best thing I suppose. My dear friend Ursula blogged about some "skinny hangers" the other day. She talked about how much more room she had in her closet after changing to them. As you can guess, my interest was perked. So, I called and got the "skinny" on the "skinny hangers" (HA! get it???) and zipped down to TJ Maxx and purchase 150 of those suckers.
Well, speaking of suckers, my hubby thinks I am totally one for buying them. But.....you decide. Here are the before pictures:

And here are the after:

Keep in mind, I really stink at photography. So I hope my lame attempt at capturing in photo the difference it made works. The hangers are very skinny and completely covered in velvet. They also are magnetic at the top right below the little chrome hook. This magnet makes the hangers "hug" each other. I think this is reason they create so much more space. I used the large plastic hangers before and they really did take up much more space. Also, again not sure if my pictures show this - I have MORE clothes in my closet now than before. But to be fair - there are more shirts (all my tshirts) folded on the shelves. I included a stool in the closet so I wouldn't be straining and stretching to get them. If they are all cluttered up, then I won't leave them up there. I can't stand looking at them all messy. So I hope this stool prevents all that. But yes, there are more clothes hanging now than before still even with me putting the jeans and tshirts folded up on top.
So......yes, I am doing Monty's closet next. But....gotta go buy more hangers!

Happy Anniversary!

So.....six years ago YESTERDAY (I tried to get this posted about 10 times and never did) was the day I married Monty. Bless his heart......
It has been great most of the time. I am sure he would whole heartedly agree that it has not been perfect. Uh, it would be scary of it had been. But everyday I can honestly say I love him more even though there are days I kind of don't like him. And again, he would agree so I don't feel bad typing it. Monty and I are quite opposites as those of you who know us well realize. It is so much fun most of the time to have your spouse "even you out" so to say. Monty is a great hubby and I am so glad I snatched him up before someone else did. We truly love one another and that is what makes everything else just fall into place throughout all these years together. We continue to look forward to growing old together. Love you Baby! :)
